Individual Therapy
Maybe you’re lonely in your marriage, going through a divorce you never wanted, struggling with depression or anxiety, or carrying the stress of parenting a child or young adult with special needs or mental health challenges.
Sometimes people come to therapy because of a crisis. Other times, they’re simply tired of repeating the same painful patterns and want something to change. And sometimes the load is too heavy and they need some support.
Therapy can help you better understand yourself, recognize what’s driving your reactions, and break out of habits like people pleasing, overfunctioning, or putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own.
I help people work through:
Improving your relationship when couples therapy isn’t an option
Loving someone struggling with addiction or substance abuse
Empty nest and shifting family roles
Pregnancy and postpartum transitions
Retirement and questions about purpose or direction
Lingering resentment, guilt, and shame
Healing after separation or divorce
Dating, career stress, and identity issues in your 20’s and 30’s
Feeling emotionally exhausted or overwhelmed
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and honest. I’m engaged in the process with you — asking questions, getting curious, noticing patterns, offering feedback, and helping you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.
People say I lean in (literally) during our sessions and that’s because I’m truly interested and invested in our time together.
My style is friendly, compassionate, and direct. I believe people grow best when they feel both supported and challenged.
This work genuinely matters to me. I care deeply about the people I work with and the lives they’re trying to build. I quietly celebrate their progress, sit with them through discouraging seasons, and stay present when life feels heavy or overwhelming.
Therapy is a partnership. I’m rooting for you, challenging you when needed, and willing to sit with you in the hard places while we work toward meaningful change together.
Voyager upon life's sea,
To yourself be true,
And whatever your lot may be,
Paddle your own canoe.
